Motorcoaches, which can replace up to 57 cars on the road, are one of the green- est mass transportation options on the planet. MCI is a subsidiary of New Flyer Industries Inc., the largest bus and motor- coach manufacturer in North America. MCI CUSTOMER COMBINES CHARTER SERVICE WITH SPORTS AND RESTAURANT ABILENE, Texas — Safe Charters, a divi- sion of VIP Sports Getaway, (vipsports- getaway.com) recently added a new MCI J4500 to its feet of eight motorcoaches to help build its upscale charter clientele. The motorcoach charter company operates tours, charters and hotel and airport shuttles, while its parent com- pany, VIP Sports Getaway, also owns a restaurant that hosts autograph signings and parties and events right across the street from AT&T Stadium, home to the company's beloved Dallas Cowboys. "When we started, we had 10 season tickets to market as part of the business. Today, we offer a great many more," said Kris Randolph, a former transporta- tion logistics executive who founded the company in 2007. The Fishbone Grill, the company's restaurant and party site, "al- lows us to tie it all together with events, autograph signings and tickets to the game," he added. The company has 35 employees, including seven full-time staff- ers at headquarters and the rest part-time drivers and workers at the restaurant. Bus amenities include leather seating, Wi-Fi sponsored by a local sports ortho- pedic practice, and other luxury appoint- ments. It is the third new J4500 the com- pany has taken delivery of this year. LIMOSCENE IS COMPILED by LCT editor Martin Romjue. Please send information and photos to Martin@LCTmag.com.
