Thompson, Rose Chauffeured Transportation, Charlotte, N.C., www.ride-rose.com LIMOUSINE, CHARTER & TOUR MARCH 2016 I t takes a long time to get your culture to work as a team. It's hard to do this unless you fne-tune employ- ees to help each other. That takes a while. When you frst start in this business, you think the vehicle is what customers are hiring. Most of the time, it isn't. It's the driver or the person on the phone, or the company. You have to have good equipment with everything that works and then it's the people the customer remembers. Look at the detail [this client] de- scribes to tell us how good we did the job: 'Last Wednes- day at 1p.m. we were advised we would be book- ing a group of 19 from all over the U.S. to arrive the follow- ing day and depart Saturday. That turned into 37 people by Thursday at noon. I just wanted to let you know what a phenom- enal job your team did for us. That is a lot of airport transfers to book with at most a 24-hour notice — a lot of them were with under a 12-hour notice. Then we had to shuttle groups around at different times on Friday with a last minute coach added late Friday for early Saturday morning. I spoke to [rep] several times and I know others in reservations and dispatch worked dili- gently to make this hap- pen and go off fawlessly. I truly appreciate them. — [Travel Manager]'" LCT SOCIAL CONNECTIONS I MARCH 2016 See LCT on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn 6 1/26/16: How To Find The Right Chauffeurs And Keep Them James Mayhart: Reality: If you want a safe, dependable driver with customer service skills, fgure your budget at $15/ hr, start to end, using time clocks. 10% tips and incentive raises for top-gun drivers. John Moose: Either one sounds absolutely amazing Paul Delves: Be great to see both of these cars Down Under 1/26/2016: Spot Poll: Lincoln Continental Or CT6? Angelo Zucaro: I am liking the exterior of the Lincoln Rudy's Executive Transportation: Cadillac 1/20/2016: When The Party On The Bus Gets Out Of Hand (17 comments) Miguel Hernandez: One of the main reasons why I don't operate party buses. Limo Seattle: Party bus or limo bus is an untapped area for most operators. But there is a good market. Jim Luff, time to get some vinyl fooring. But then again this is a rare situation. We would have stopped the bus or canceled the ride on the return trip. Jevonne Smith Pollard: Security deposit up front plus charge for trip. When trip is over, if clean up needs to be done beyond what is normal, they lose deposit. Just like renting an apartment, hotel room, event space, I see no difference. Jason Snyder: I'd be pissed off as f... !!! I would charge them damages out the a...!! Jon Ryan: Credit card on fle, pay the job up front in cash prior to the night out...period. Pre-owned is used!! Great read." — J.R. Garza 1/12/2016: Lincoln Introduces Continental Flagship, Previews Livery Edition "Wake up Ford! We want our Town Car back with the V-8 engine. This thing looks like a souped-up Ford fusion. How rude." — Ken Reininghaus 1/07/2016: Strong Business Values Defne Retail Limo Service "I met Chad [Peterson] and got to learn a little bit about him over a few days at an industry event. He is an impres- sive gentleman and will be an asset to our industry. He brings many valuable insights to this business." — Marc Rold 1/20/2016: Uber Scores A Super Bowl First "STUPID idea which grants legitimacy to an illegitimate concept. Yet another example of corporate greed (VCs and bankers) over com- mon sense." — frederick 1/26/2016: Help Wanted: Carey Calling For Chauffeurs On Bowl Day "Insane wages. That's no money if you look at it, and here they will most likely pocket the gratu- ity and expect the client to cash tip the driver. Sorry, but this is a bad deal. I am sure this set up is worse than an Uber pay." — James [02/05/2016] Uber Drivers Threaten Strike During Super Bowl 50 Not a problem, just leaves more for legitimate companies. They want to bite the hand that feeds them. Fine by me. — Dianne 1/27/2016: Uber Driver Yanks Service Dog Out Of Car, Slams Onto Street "Uber = circus transportation tech company." — anthony 2/03/2016: Cadillac CT6, Lincoln Continental: Luxury Car Clash? "I hate quoted numbers, because [they're] not truly representative. Neither of these are L bodies, but will have more room than the XTS and MKS. The real issue will likely be cargo space. My MKS has been maxed out a few times, and both of these look smaller." — Andrew M.
