LimoScene 04.15 TOP STORY LCT Honors Limo Companies For High Business Achievement LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The 2015 LCT Operator of the Year Awards once again celebrated excellence at the industry core: How to run an outstanding limousine service. That simple tribute has defned the awards program since it launched in 1990, motivating limo operators worldwide to get recognized for hard work and command some extra marketing heft. The 2015 OOY Award winners were called out March 17 at the LCT Awards Celebration gala and St. Patrick's Day-themed Emerald Ball during the International LCT Show at the Palazzo Venetian Resort Hotel Casinos. LCT received an above average number of applications this year, making fnalist choices all the more competitive. All By Martin Romjue, LCT editor After 25 years, the limousine industry's leading awards program keeps rolling out the best of the best. non-winning fnalists will be automatically re-enrolled in the awards program next year. Winners are selected by a panel of six judges, who each score each fnalist company on a scale of 1-10 in six key areas of operations: Customer service, community/indus- try involvement, use of technology, media and marketing, chauffeur training, and safety performance. The fnalist who gets the most points out of a maximum of 60 be- comes the winner in that particular category. All judges rate the fnalists independent of each other. Each awards category has from two to four fnalists. LCT notifes fnal- ists privately ahead of the awards program but does not disclose them publicly. n LCT Operator of the Year winners received framed certifcates March 17 from LCT Publisher and Show Chair Sara Eastwood and Bobit Business Media CEO Ty Bobit during the annual LCT Awards Celebration in Las Vegas.
