As more operators shift to majority bus and coach fleets, LCT-NLA Show East and the BusCon Expo bring valued resources for luxury and charter transportation operators. By Lexi Tucker, LCT associate editor I f you're running any type of buses in your fleet, or are planning on purchasing some in the near future, there are two places you should be: BusCon Expo, held Oct. 1-3 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, and LCT-NLA Show East, held Nov. 4-6 at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City. While the latter may sound more familiar to LCT operators and readers, the former is no less educational. Here we break down the two events so you'll know what you can expect to see and experience. 28 WWW.LCTMAG.COM LUXURY COACH & TRANSPORTATION SEPTEMBER 2018 LCT EAST When: Sunday-Tuesday, Nov. 4-6, 2018 Where: Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City, N.J. This year the biggest luxury transportation Show on the East Coast has more to offer bus operators than ever before. The Motorcoach Pavilion provides a section of the event to spotlight the latest and greatest buses on the market where veteran operators and newbies will feel welcome. There's also a Motorcoach Spotlight off the registration area for even more buses. Think you need some help reaching the same service standards as traditional luxury transportation companies? A session on service excellence will teach you all the right tools. Other education topics include employee recruitment and retention, motorcoach marketing ideas to keep buses booked solid, and maintenance programs that cut costs. Reps from the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) and American Bus Association (ABA) will also be present to answer any of your questions.
