14 LUXURY COACH & TRANSPORTATION SEPTEMBER 2018 WWW.LCTMAG.COM LuxuryTransportation Scene MARKETPLACE: VENDORS & PRODUCTS ABC COMPANIES HOSTS OPEN HOUSE FOR LOCAL CUSTOMERS, COMMUNITY, AND FIRST RESPONDERS WINTER GARDEN, Fla. — ABC Companies on June 26 celebrated being part of its local community for over 40 years with numer- ous activities centered around sharing their appreciation for local customers, the com- munity, and local first responders. Not only did ABC and its employees open their facility as a thank you, but numerous suppliers participated as well. Detroit Diesel, REI, and Amaya, along with over 12 other vendor partners, attended and contributed in sup- port of the event. "This event is about showing our gratitude to our long-standing customers and the local community who have been with us from the start. It is hard to believe we have been here for over 40 years, but when you look around and see how we have grown this facility to accommodate our customers, it is clear this is just the begin- ning of many more great years to come," said Roman Cornell, executive VP and CCO of ABC Companies. As part of the celebration, ABC Companies also supported the local City of Oak- land Police Department's ongoing child seat and helmet drive. "We received many donations," said Sergeant Angela Campbell who participated in the festivities. Among the many activities available for customers, a few were truly unique. A "dunk tank" was on-site giving customers the opportunity to soak a few of their fa- vorite ABC employees. The event included lunch and the opportunity to spend time with members of the ABC staff and suppliers. "The relationships and trust we earn with our customers has to be supported by our suppliers," said John Gillis, VP of parts. "Having many of them in attendance demonstrates our focus throughout the organization on always keeping the cus- tomer first. They had the opportunity to interact firsthand, continuing to understand what our customers need to be successful and how ABC delivers for them." MV operates shuttle services for some of the most well-known corporations in the world, meeting employee needs for convenient, energy-efficient, and comfort- able commutes to and from their offices. "We're finding door-to-door employee commuter transportation is becoming a more popular employer benefit as major companies continue to expand region- ally," said Jeff Womack, MV CMO. "The J4500 is a natural choice for its comfortable, smooth ride, and passenger amenities perfect for longer distance routes."
